Registerd Saanen Dairy Goats
Various poultry in season
We are a small hobby farm in rural Barboursville, West Virginia. Our little farm focuses on healthy living, great food and treating our livestock like the beautiful living creatures they are.
Our chickens live the way nature intended. They spend their days scratching in the grass and leaves on our 7 acre farm. They are never given feed that contains antibiotics or hormones. Since we also garden without chemicals, they are often given garden leftovers. They especially love tomatoes!
Our most popular product is our eggs. If you haven't had a farm fresh egg from a chicken living naturally, you'll be amazed at the difference. We can also provide baby chicks, if you want to try your hand at raising chickens, too! This fall, we'll have farm-processed whole frozen chicken as well.
We offer pastured meats and eggs. Please check the notes section of our facebook page every Monday for weekly availability and delivery times. We are also at the Putnam Farmers' Market in Hurricane seasonally.

This is my description blah blah blah
Our farm is located at the end of a "holler". We have a small herd of very happy goats. I make goat milk soaps and lotions using the cold-pressed method. Soaps are poured into molds with many decorative designs to choose from. I can make fragrance-free soaps. I use coconut oil and cocoa butter in my standard "skin lover" recipe and also offer lotion with sweet almond oil as a base.
I am a bit "off the grid" and small-scale. Please contact me via e-mail or phone for order information.
I HAVE 11 HENS, ONE ROOSTER AND FIVE CHICKS. THEY ARE LET LOOSE IN EARLY MORNING AND LEFT TO ROAM FREE FOR THE DAY. I ESTIMATE THEY COVER ABOUT 10 ACRES A DAY. IN THE LATE EVENING, THEY GO BACK TO THEIR ROOST AND I SECURE THE GATE. THEY ARE SUPPLEMENTED WITH CORN FROM SOUTHERN STATES. SINCE SOUTHERN STATES IS UNSURE OF THEIR GROWING PRACTICES OF CORN, I AM UNABLE TO CERTIFY THE EGGS AS BEING ORGANIC. PLEASE CLICK ON THIS LINK FOR NEWEST NUTRIENT DATA http://www.motherearthnews.com/Whole-Foods-and-Cooking/2007-10-01/Tests-Reveal-Healthier-Eggs.aspx . I ALSO HAVE VARIOUS FERNS, HERBS, AND OTHER PLANTS. THEY VARY IN PRICE, BUT ARE INEXPENSIVE. YELOW ROOT, BLOOD ROOT, HOSTAS, PUSSY WILLOW TREES, ETC. fresh sage is now ready.
